Construction Update #2
The slab has been poured for the first building at the Solace Family Home! Where we are building they do not drive up a concrete truck and begin pouring. The process is a little more complicated. A worker will mix sand, cement, and water together using a shovel. This is the same process used for making bricks. Then it will be poured by wheel barrow. While they are making more cement, someone levels it with hand tools and a board. Needless to say the process is a little more tedious, but it still moved quickly. Once the slab sets it will be time for the walls to go up!
