Welcome to the Solace Family Home blog! The dream of building a home to care for children began long before I joined the staff, but for the past eight months I have devoted much of my time to researching, planning, and preparing for this project. Two months ago I was stepping onto a plane to go see the property for the first time. During our time in Cote d'Ivoire our team met with contractors, saw the very first bricks be made, and witnessed a well being dug. It was an incredible experience!
As progress continues to happen this blog will be a place where you can read about what is happening. But we don't want the blog to just be filled with construction updates. Along the way, we'll also have posts about how God is working in Tanda and opportunities for you to hear directly from our missionaries.
This is just the beginning of what God is doing through Solace Church in Cote d'Ivoire. There will be many more stories to share in the weeks, months, and years to come. We're excited for you to join us in this journey.
